Crepes Dough Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

2 eggs

2 tablespoons melted butter

A pinch of salt

*Optional: 1 teaspoon sugar (if you prefer sweet crepes)

Additional butter for greasing the pan


Instructions:


  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. If making sweet crepes, add sugar as well.

  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk and melted butter. Mix well.

  3. Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl of flour and mix until you have a smooth and homogeneous batter. You can use an electric mixer if you prefer.

  4. Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes. This helps make the crepes softer.

  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and grease it with a little butter.

  6. Pour a small amount of batter into the hot skillet and quickly tilt the skillet to spread the batter evenly, forming a thin layer.

  7. Cook the crepe for about 1-2 minutes or until the edges start to brown. Then, using a spatula, flip it and cook the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  8. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.

  9. And that's it! Now you can fill the crepes with whatever you prefer: fresh fruits, whipped cream, chocolate, honey, maple syrup, cheese, ham, mushrooms, spinach—the possibilities are endless! Enjoy your crepes!
